WiFi Protected Setup
WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) is a certification program from the WiFi Alliance that enables users to configure a safe and secure wireless network. The WPS program was launched in 2007 and some older routers may not have WPS or a push button. For details on setting up your router or configuring your wireless network, refer to the documentation that came with your router.WPS supports pushing a button or entering a PIN into a wizard-type application. For details on setting up your HP printer on a wireless network, see the electronic Help for your printer.
Wireless Setup
When the wireless connection between the printer and the router has been established, the blue LED wireless light on the printer will be lit. The LCD display also shows the wireless antenna icon with bars indicating the signal strength. Once the software has been installed, refer to the electronic Help for your printer for more information on your wireless setup.
